FAQ

The climate

Capri has always been loved for the mildness of its climate most of the year. It can be defined as sunny in almost all of its months, excluding the instability of March and November, therefore, the stay on the island will be chosen according to taste.

Shopping and souvenirs

Shopping in Capri is exclusive and elegant: big names in fashion, superb jewelers, but also ceramic objects and bottles of limoncello. Lungo “Via Camerelle” c’è la più alta concentrazione di boutique di lusso che si possa immaginare. In just 100 meters, in the area between the Quisisana hotel and Via Tragara, there are the windows of all the biggest names in world fashion. For those who can treat themselves to a gift or for those who at least like to admire the shop windows.

A day at the sea

Capri is a rocky island, so there are rocky coves and platforms to dive from. The largest beach on the island opens up in Marina Grande, a stony bay: despite its proximity to the commercial port, the water is always clean. On the opposite side of the island, in Marina Piccola, there are two free beaches and various establishments equipped with small pebbles from which there is a beautiful view of the Faraglioni. Being free places, during the hottest summer months, they are often crowded. A true paradise, on the other hand, in the early morning before lunchtime and in the evening, with the arrival of the Mistral, with much more pleasant temperatures.

Admire the sunset

The Punta Carena lighthouse, the largest in Italy after the one in Genoa, is also the best place to enjoy the sun disappearing into the sea on the island of Capri. It is located 15 minutes by bus from the center of Anacapri. It is the ideal place for those who love silence and wild nature.

Tour of the island by boat

One of the best ways to enjoy the island is with a boat tour. In Marina Grande there are several companies that provide this service. Most of the tours include a stop at the Blue Grotto and touch the most famous points of the island from the marine perspective such as Villa Jovis and obviously the Faraglioni.

Excursions and trekking

Among the many walks to be enjoyed on the island such as that of the "Pizzolungo" the "path of the Fortini" is perhaps one of the most spectacular walks to do in Capri: it runs along the sea from the Blue Grotto to the Punta Carena lighthouse among rocks, promontories and bays from turquoise waters. Along the way there are the three forts that once served to defend Capri: Orrico, Pino and Mesola. Built by the British in 1806 and enlarged by the French after the capture of Capri in 1808, these ancient military posts are connected by a path marked by information tiles. The excursion lasts about 3 hours, so it is advisable to bring a supply of water with you and avoid the hottest hours.
